più che deriderlo ammirano la sua determinazione e la sua voglia di mettersi alla prova e propongono un concetto come: se non c'è riuscito Jeffries come puoi sperarci tu! che è abbastanza una stronzata perché qualcuno in partita lo dovrà marcare...

A parte gli scherzi, a questo punto spero proprio che riesca a fermare Melo.

Melo non lo fermi, ha messo 45 punti in faccia a LBJ, Ariza, Battier, semplicemente devi sperare che non sia in serata di grazia se no addio. Detto questo provare a limitarlo e giocarci contro per tanti minuti è una grande esperienza che servirà molto a Danilo.

Beh Danilo voleva sfidare Melo e direi che l'ha fatto alla grande.....28 punti e di questi 17 nel solo terzo quarto in cui c'è stata una vera e propria "guerra" proprio con la stella di Denver,davvero esaltante da vedere.Buona per quanto possibile anche la difesa su di lui ma si sa,certi tiri Melo li mette anche se marcatissimo.Bella anche la solita faccia da schiaffi quando a fine partita dava il cinque ai tifosi a bordo campo....mi vedo già mighty sotto le coperte e mille fazzoletti sporchi intorno a lui

Beh direi che svegliarsi e vedere questa foto di Danilo sulla home del sito NBA non può che far pensare bene. Stanotte ha dimostrato di poter essere considerato un campione e poche stronzate. Leggere le parole di Carmelo su di lui. Leggete il game recap, guardatevi gli highlights. Io mi scaricherò la partita.

Poi in una partita si è visto quello che è Danilo. Magari Carmelo ha fatto 36 punti, però lui, grazie anche alla squadra, la partita la ha vinta, essendone il leader in campo.

Poi le lodi di McHale e C-Webber diciamo che contano qualcosa. Poi trash talking per tutta la partita con Carmelo. FANTASTICO.

Non ho visto la partita, posso dire poco. Ma in quel poco si vede chiaramente che Gallianri è un campione coi controcazzi, prima della partita dice di voler marcare Anthony lo fa e da quel poco che ho visto anche beene, poi anthony è un campione e ne mette 36, ma anche kobe ne metteva 40 in faccia ad Artest. Inoltre ti fa 28 punti trascinando i knicks ad una grande vittoria...che spettacolo!

Una partita che è valso la pena di seguire, soprattutto il 3° quarto.
Il Gallo ha giocato da vero campione; dopo un primo tempo da 1/7 si è ripreso alla grande, ha tenuto in piedi la squadra sia nel 3° quarto che nel finale e non ha sfigurato contro Melo.
(Il primo che dice "eh ma Melo ne ha fatti 38, come si fa a dire che non ha fatto schifo" si ricordi che il #15 ne ha messi 45(!) in faccia a LeBron).

Leader della squadra, non ci sono più dubbi.

p.s.: Harrington non è capace di passare la palla nemmeno quando effettua una rimessa (a circa 1 minuto dalla fine).

Danilo Gallinari messed with 'Melo -- and the New York Knicks emerged as the winners.

Gallinari scored 17 of his 28 points during a spirited duel with Carmelo Anthony in the third quarter and the Knicks beat the Denver Nuggets 109-104 on Tuesday night.

"He was taking the challenge. I took the challenge. We played a great game and he played a great game, and we won," Gallinari said.

The second-year forward from Italy matched shots -- and words -- with one of the NBA's biggest stars.

"Actually it was kind of fun for me to see him hold his ground and not back down," Anthony said. "He was kind of talking back to me out there, too, which I was kind of surprised."

Al Harrington added 23 points for the Knicks, who climbed out of an early 12-point hole and took control late in the third period. David Lee finished with 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Anthony scored 36 points and Chauncey Billups had 25 for the Nuggets, who lost their second straight and fell into a tie with the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Their magic number for clinching a postseason spot remained at three.

The Nuggets had won the last four meetings -- Anthony scored a career-high 50 in the last matchup -- their longest winning streak ever against the Knicks. They seemed on their way to easily extending that run before the game changed after halftime.

Denver played its eighth game under Adrian Dantley since coach George Karl was diagnosed with throat cancer. Karl will not return until April, after the Nuggets have returned home from their five-game road trip. A source told ESPN.com's Chris Sheridan tt is unlikely Karl will return to coaching before the playoffs.

Anthony and Gallinari became involved in a sometimes testy back and forth midway through the third quarter, and the Knicks got the better of it. After Anthony's basket gave the Nuggets a two-point lead with 3:37 to go, Gallinari hit consecutive 3-pointers to ignite an 11-0 spurt to end the period. Harrington's 3 with 3.9 seconds left sent New York to the fourth with an 83-74 advantage.

Anthony wouldn't divulge what Gallinari said to him, but it was enough to get the officials to order the talking to stop.

"That's the challenge. That's basketball," Gallinari said. "Talking is a great part of basketball. If you don't talk in basketball, you cannot play basketball. You've got to talk."

Anthony scored 12 in the quarter, appearing he would get the better of Gallinari earlier in the period, when the Nuggets were going to their All-Star on every trip and he seemed amused and annoyed by the Italian's attempts to check him. He jawed at Gallinari after some of his baskets, but Gallinari gave as good as he got.

"You can see him clicking, taking the challenge," Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said. "Now the challenge for him will be, he needs to be clicking every night and that's not who's in front of him. That's a little bit of, if he wants to go to that next level, then the game's got to be the challenge. It can't be, 'OK, I got Carmelo or Kobe or whoever.'"
