Trade, si, quelle son possibili, ma anche lì, non è che ci tradano un "big" per fuffa, se si vuol qualcosa di buono bisogna dar via qualcos'altro di buono (calderon in pratica)
forse si poteva fare anche una sing-and-trade con peterson ed ottenere qualocsa di meglio di kapono..
tradandolo 1 anno fa si, era reduce da una buonissima stagione, qualcosa di buono si rimediava, in questo momento morris è un 77 (quindi tutt'altro che giovane) che viene dalla sua peggior stagione in carriera..
gente disposta a offrirgli un contratto ne trova sicuramente, è comunque uno che nel roster fa comodo, ma in sign&trade grossi giocatori per me non li ha messi sul tavolo nessuno... credo tutti peggio di kapono
Assolutamente, non dimenticando che MoPe se non sbaglio ha un bell'ingaggio...
meglio di kapono non si poteva prendere niente, bene che è arrivato un giocatore con le sue caratteristiche ora c'è da capire quali sono le posizioni di Dixon e altri che potrebbero essere scambiati in cambio di qualche altro, e se può arrivare una buona Ala piccola per completare il quintetto.

news di poco fa : i raptors hanno messo sotto contratto il free agent ala jamario moon che ha firmato per due anni,adesso gradirei che raft mi dicesse chi accidenti è jamario moon perchè magari sono poco informato ma io questo non lo conosco per niente

Se ne parlava qualche post fa, davidelia ha postato un articoletto in inglese in cui spicca una frase:
"He was named the CBA Defensive Player of the Year and earned first-team All-CBA honours. "
Ma se qualcuno conosce il giocatore e ci volesse fare una piccola panoramica, si faccia avanti!

Ma se qualcuno conosce il giocatore e ci volesse fare una piccola panoramica, si faccia avanti!
il giocatore lo ricordo solo ai tempi del college, ma è passato troppo per dir che è ancora lo stesso, li era un bell'attaccante, ala piccola "pura". discreto rimbalzista, molto penetratore.
Comunque per far capir il livello della CBA.. Lloyd Daniels (pisellino
) quello visto a pesaro ci andava pesante di quarantelli in quella lega..

Raptors Sign Free Agent Jason Kapono
(July 11, 2007) - The Toronto Raptors announced Wednesday they have signed free agent forward Jason Kapono to a multi-year contract. Per team policy, financial details were not disclosed.
“Jason is an ideal fit for our system and for our locker room,” said Bryan Colangelo, president and general manager of the Raptors. “We anticipate he will contribute significantly to our team in a variety of ways.
“(Raptors Head Coach) Sam (Mitchell) loves his ability to knock down shots which spreads the floor and opens up scoring opportunities in the lane on dribble penetration and post-ups.”
Kapono led the NBA in three-point field goal percentage last season connecting at a .514 (108-210) clip. His single-season percentage from three-point range ranks as the fourth highest in league history and the best since the 1995-96 season (Tim Legler, .522). He made 50 per cent or better of his three-point attempts in 35 of his 67 appearances.
In addition to his regular season three-point accuracy title, Kapono won the Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout at the 2007 All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas. He tied the all-time final round record with 24 points.
Kapono, 6-foot-8, 215 pounds, posted career highs in nearly every statistical category last season for the Miami Heat, including scoring average (10.9) and free throw percentage (.892, 66-74). He also recorded personal best in starts (35), field goals made (278), field goal percentage (.494), defensive rebounds (154), total rebounds (180), assists (81) and minutes (1,767). In his 35 starts, he upped his average to 13.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 31.8 minutes.
Kapono scored in double digits on 38 occasions last season, with five outings of 20 or more points. He tallied a career-high 28 points at Milwaukee on February 3. He posted a career-best 13 consecutive games scoring in double figures from January 22 – February 21, averaging 15.5 points over that stretch. Kapono also connected on at least one three-pointer in a career-high 14 straight contests from January 21 – February 21, shooting .571 per cent (57-97) from beyond the arc.
Kapono holds a career average of 7.4 points per game, shooting at a .459 per cent rate from three-point range and .852 per cent from the charity stripe. He played his rookie season (2003-04) in Cleveland and the following year in Charlotte after being selected by the Bobcats in the 2004 NBA Expansion Draft. He spent the past two seasons with the Miami Heat, winning an NBA Championship in 2006.
Kapono finished his collegiate career as the third all-time leading scorer in UCLA history. He was also the first player in the school’s storied basketball program to lead the team in scoring for four straight years and be named first-team All-Pac 10 each season.

Baston, 6-foot-10, 230 pounds is a veteran of two NBA seasons and six years overseas, where he teamed with current Raptor Anthony Parker to lead Maccabi Tel Aviv to three Israeli Premier League championships (2004-06) and two Euroleague title (2004 and 2005). He appeared in 47 games with Indiana last season, averaging 2.9 points and 1.6 rebounds. He topped the Pacers in field goal percentage at .645 (49-76). He posted a season-best 14 points and eight rebounds at New Jersey on January 15.
Baston played in 16 games with Toronto at the end of the 2002-03 season, averaging 2.6 points while shooting .600 per cent (15-25) from the field and .833 per cent (10-12) from the free throw line. In 63 career NBA games, he has shot .634 per cent from the field and .797 per cent at the foul line.
Baston averaged 14.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in his Premier League play with Maccabi and 13.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in Euroleague action. In the 2004-05 season, he shot .682 per cent from the field in the Premier League and .764 per cent in the Euroleague.

BHo, da baston più che un po' di spettacolo è dura attendersi, certo 2 schiacciate in "maceozone" le farà, porterà un po' di atletismo, ma non mi par tipo da più di 5-10 minuti in una rotazione da squadra con qualche ambizione

Cambio da 15 minuti massimo per dare rimbalzi e qualche scossa "atletica". Giocatore normalissimo niente di che.
I raps se vogliono fare mercato devono mettere sul piatto qualcuno dei suoi "big" se no è finita quà.

Vero emanuele.. Rosa foltissima!Secondo me andranno via tutti i FA, più Hump e uno tra Graham e Dixon, ma non so per chi!!
Cmq per quanto riguarda i FA disponibili, a me cadeva sempre l'occhio su Matt Barnes..Io lo vedrei bene ai Raps..Voi che ne dite??
