ottima la vittoria su dallas, ci voleva per il morale della squadra....

On coming out a different team after the half:
“Well, we had a few choice words in the locker room at halftime. The guys responded and that’s all I can say. They responded with effort and they stuck together. Even when we threw the ball away at the end (of the game), when we got to that 20-second timeout we just said we are going to win this game anyway and I thought that was a sign of a team that is resilient and showed a lot of character. I thought that the halftime was a different halftime than we have had before, and I can’t say enough about how our team responded tonight.”

On opening the third quarter with everything accelerated:
“Well it started with Chris (Paul) and Marco (Bellinelli) getting up on the ball. They (Paul and Bellinelli) pressured 94 feet and that changed the way they (Dallas) ran their offense, so now they are getting into their offense with 15 seconds on the clock as opposed to getting into it with 20 seconds on the clock. That kind of pressure gets everybody involved; our bench got involved. Willie (Green) came in and gave the same kind of pressure and then we made plays down the stretch. It’s a cliché, but it’s a team effort for sure.”

On Bellinelli matched up on Nowitzki:
“We were running our normal pick-and-roll defense and we had to help because they had Tyson (Chandler) diving to the basket and that opened up threes so we just decided to black, switch everything and Marco (Bellinelli), I didn’t care if he got fouls on that play I thought he was physical and he set the tone. The refs aren’t going to call every foul and Marco (Bellinelli) was big tonight. The pressure on the ball versus smaller guards and being physical with Dirk (Nowitzki) hit that nail because they are going to run that play down the stretch. Dirk (Nowitzki) had 29, but he probably could have ended up with 40 had he not gotten into foul trouble.”

Secondo me Monty più che gioire per la vittoria di ieri sera si sta mangiando le mani per quella che si è fatto scappare in Texas, il Beli ieri ha dato la dimostrazione che con lui quella partita l'avrebbero portata a casa.

Uno a uno e palla al centro. A Dallas meritavano di vincere e l'hanno persa, oggi potevano pure perderla e sono riusciti a vincerla, complimenti!

Dagli highlights noto con piacere che ha smesso di carpiare quando tira.
Comunque la stagione del beli sta dimostrando, se ce n'era bisogno, che giocare in una squadra vera con un allenatore capace ti può far svoltare la carriera, dopo aver avuto la sfiga di finire in realtà così malgestite come quella dei warriors e dei raptors.

Confesso che aspettavo da anni che Belinelli mettesse un po' di ordine nel suo gioco. Forse ci sono voluti Monty Williams e Chris Paul. Ora spero che continui così, perchè i risultati si vedono. Quando gioca come sta giocando, è il mio preferito dei tre emigranti, anche per ragioni geografiche.

La differenza con la gara passata @Dallas è stata una soltanto: il Beli ha giocato nel quarto quarto. Speriamo che Monty Williams (e ne son certo, visto che ha azzeccato quasi tutte le mosse finora) abbia capito che uno come Belinelli non lo puoi pancare per un Green qualunque.

Difesa mostruosa e attacco da cecchino. Ha completato una notte da urlo per il basket italiano. Dopo la prova di ieri credo abbia acquisito la consacrazione definitiva, quella che in pratica ti evita di rimanere in campo soltanto per 25 minuti.

Cmq le partite di NO (insieme a Paul) dovrebbero farle vedere a tutti gli aspiranti giocatori, qualcosa di magico. Anche guardando le statistiche si capisce che il play è un fenomeno e che la squadra è SQUADRA. Cito un dato indicativo: tra i 5 titolari, tra chi prende più tiri (16) e chi ne prende meno di tutti (10), la differenza è di appena 6. Non si trova in nessun altro posto una statistica così...e tenere i giocatori sempre caldi e nel vivo dell'azione non è cosa da poco.

I think Belinelli fine. His defense is pretty good and he's playing well offensively. Green was much better tonight as well. I think our offense struggles when they try to force feed West too much instead of the ball movement and pick n roll which is alot more successful. Belinelli is the best SG CP3 has ever played with.

seriamente io follie x paul non le farei mi prenderei nash per i prossimi anni e proverei a prendere uno tra deron williams rose wall ecc. in futuro paul secondo me è troppo sopravvalutato nel suo libro di giochi ha solo il pick & roll e l' alley hoop per il lungo
ah e poi se proprio non riescono ad arrivare ai giocatori che ho citato prima possono sempre ingaggiare te quanto prendi a stagione?

Non so, ma a me Paul a livello di Playmaking sembra più forte di Deron e Rose... anzi mi sembra molto molto forte. Nash è un altro tipo di giocatore, che io adoro, un genio del basket, ma sinceramente non ha alcun senso prenderlo.

I think his value is increasing exponentially because even when his offense isn’t on (he was good on offense tonight) he can still add value elsewhere. Wednesday was nice, the start of a new beginning perhaps. But I want more out of the guy, something that redefines him as an NBA player. This is what I hope for.

I want CP to feel comfortable with Marco as an equal, and I don't mean 'equal' in terms of individual talent but as a complement to him. We know CP excels in creating scoring opportunities for his teammates, he's the best at it in my opinion. And that, combined with Marco's ability to shoot from any distance, in any manner would just about make for the most feared backcourt in the league.

Marco's a very gifted player, and I think he knows that, but he's been passive at times going after his (shots). Why shouldn't he be the 2nd option in getting the ball, along with West? (It doesn't make sense Ariza gets more touches than him.) Am I imagining a possible lack of respect for Marco from Monty? I hope so because he's gaining some respect around the league as someone you gotta guard against. Regardless, Marco needs to solidify his identity as CP's backcourt mate, not as just the fill-in before the inevitable Melo trade.

I believe in Marco. He's got a swagger about him that I see when he's playing for the NT, and that I saw during that short run he had while he was with the Warriors. That's the time he's so much fun to watch. Once he gets it going here, who knows, could it help the Hornets make the playoffs? Could it make CP3 forget about Melo? Who knows, maybe I'm just dreaming, but I can hope.
