Per la summer league ha dichiarato che sarà presente agli allenamenti a Las vegas ma NON giocherà. ( causa prudenza e toccar "ferro" dopo quello che è successo l'anno scorso)

L'altro ieri l'ho visto al Forum (siamo entrati assieme, eravamo sulle scale mobili ad un cm di distanza ...).

Era tutto abbronzato e bello sorridente, avrà fatto centinaia di foto con bambini.
Visto da vicinissimo, è davvero un gigante. Sembra davvero quasi un 2.10. Aveva una maglietta scura, ma non sembrava che avesse messo su muscoli.

F Danilo Gallinari (back surgery) continues to improve as he says he is pain-free and is now participating in some very light basketball-related activities (mainly shooting). He is expected to be with the summer league team in Las Vegas later in July, but will not play.

Intervista del NY Post al Gallo, non dice nulla sulle sue condizioni fisiche, però dice molto sul suo carattere e le sue ambizioni.

Gallinari said he recognizes the pressure of being a face of the franchise in this pivotal year. And the 20-year-old relishes it.

"I'm up for that," Gallinari said at the 7th Annual iStar Charity Shootout, benefiting the Garden of Dreams charity. "I think it's an honor for me and Wil to have this responsibility, so we will work together to be as [good] as we can.

"I know [it's pressure], but it's what I like, because champions come out under pressure. If you are not responding under pressure, you're just a mediocre player, and I don't want to be a mediocre player, I want to be a champion. I want the pressure. Great players need that pressure."

Chandler, who will get on the court in about three weeks after undergoing left ankle surgery, echoed that sentiment.

"We're just ready for the future, ready to be a contender in the NBA, ready to win," said the 22-year-old Chandler. "If we do better next year, I think [stars like James or Wade] will definitely want to come to New York. We live in a great city, the best city supposedly. If we're winning, I think they'll come.

After April back surgery, Gallinari went through non-contact practices with the Knicks' winless summer league team in Las Vegas and should be full-go by training camp.

"For myself, I know I'll be ready 100 percent and I know I'll be helpful for the team, so my only goal is to get to the playoffs," Gallinari said. "Our goal is to get the best chemistry, and with the new players coming in for next year and get to the playoffs -- that is our goal."
